Frequently asked questions What is a Kaymac Immobiliser? The Kaymac immobiliser disables the main hydraulic functions of the machine, transmission, boom actions etc, by diverting the oil flow back to tank. Anyone with a basic knowledge of machinery, but usually a reputable hose doctor, mechanic or your own service department of course. (BACK TO TOP) No specialised tools at all. There are no holes to drill, bits to make or welding to do - everything is supplied along with easy to understand installation instructions. (BACK TO TOP) The larger the machine the better the access to components parts you have, small machines can be quite cramped so may take a little longer, on average the Kaymac kit can be fitted in under two hours. (BACK TO TOP) Why can't you simply by pass it? The system has been devised so as to prevent anyone other than the original installer, with the original pipe work, to return the machine back to original. Multiple fittings of the correct type are required and the knowledge of where they go. (BACK TO TOP) Keys for the Kaymac Immobiliser have been designed to prevent duplication. Although nothing is impossible, to try and copy our specialised key would take an awful lot of resources and an engineering background, not to mention access to some rather expensive and specialised machinery and tooling. (BACK TO TOP) Can all my machines have the same key? Yes, but we prefer to supply a selection of different key designs, this prevents a thief from stealing any other machine in your yard. (BACK TO TOP) How many varieties of keys are there? Every new batch of lock valves produced are accompanied by a number of new key design and combinations. You will not have to worry about duplications. (BACK TO TOP) What happens if I lose my key? The answer is DON'T...replacement keys are available from the place of purchase, but not without proof of purchase and identification. All Kaymac owners details are recorded on a secure database along with their machine details and the unique Kaymac valve serial number. (BACK TO TOP) Two keys are supplied with every device, however extra keys can be purchased as and when you require them (see conditions above). (BACK TO TOP) What about if I want to transport my machine? The device is either "on" or "off", the key does not have to remain in place, so you would simply deactivate the device the Kaymac to allow transportation. When the machine reaches its destination it can be locked by the key holder. (BACK TO TOP) What machines will the Kaymac Immobilise? Kaymac Valves will immobilise a machine whose controls are pilot operated. Cable or electrical controls are not affected by the device. (BACK TO TOP) Would fitting the Kaymac affect my machine's warranty? No, tests by manufacturers have proven the Kaymac Lock valve does nothing to alter the machine's functions when deactivated. (BACK TO TOP) Does it interfere with my machines computers? There is no appreciable rise or drop in the hydraulic oil pressure, therefore no adverse reactions are recorded. (BACK TO TOP) Why is this different to any other anti theft device? The Kaymac is totally hydraulic; it does not
rely on electrical circuits to function and is robust. The kaymac stops the
machine from being moved therefore stops theft, joy riding, surrounding property
damage, and even perhaps theft of your expensive attachments which may be
secured by the weight of the boom. The kaymac carries an international patent
pending which proves it is unique throughout the world. It is safe and simple
with no ongoing costs at all. Kaymac has a full 12 month warranty covering defective parts and materials. (BACK TO TOP) Where do I buy my Kaymac Immobiliser? Just email me your location and contact details I will make sure you are contacted within 24 hours with all the information you need.
