Here is the platform. The base is made from 50 x 50 x 5mm angle steel with 4 x 2 timber as leg extensions, I have a car driveshaft mounted vertically. Two power steering racks are mounted in parallel and are driven with car wiper motors, travel is 140mm.The top is 75 x 50mm steel box and 50 x 5mm steel side hold down plates. All painted in trendy matt black!
