This is the cockpit itself, the pictures are self explanatory. I originally had no intention of motion so it was built on castors on the ground, when I finally decided to use motion I built the platform and just lifted the whole lot up onto it.
The bottom is 4 x 2 timber, particle board base, the frame is 40 x 40mm ballasters (used for deck rail) and 3mm MDF as a cover.
