What's a Typical Meeting Like?
A typical meeting will generally include the following items on the agenda:

Announcements: NZCPS Activities and other CP related events
Any general business that members wish to raise
Plant & Seed sales from the sales table
Raffle of CP's or CP related items
 Milk & Cookies refreshment break
 Discussion on plants on display
 Carnivorous Plant cultivation tips
Presentation by featured speaker and / or demonstration
Access to the extensive NZCPS library

At our regular meetings held in Auckland members and visitors alike will gain from the demonstrations and talks, and meetings offer hands on experience for both the newbie and expert alike. From propagation techniques, such as division and stem cuttings, to flower pollination and hybridization, to species identification and what to do about pests and diseases.

Our plant sales at meetings are very competitively priced and often contain plants that simply can not be purchased anywhere else in New Zealand. Members are also entitled to borrow books and videos from the extensive NZCPS carnivorous plant library.

At each meeting there are normally one or two raffle plants available that members have kindly donated to the society and these range from easy beginners plants to those requiring a bit more skill. A cheap and easy way to pickup a plant.

Fieldtrips are planned each year and members are always guaranteed to see carnivorous plants in the wild and return home with plenty of photographs, damp feet, tired bones and yet a smile on their face!
